I have a problem. I have so many quilts planned and ready to go, but I HAVE to finish something before I can start them. I'm making progress on the wedding quilt. The plan is to make some major progress this weekend. But I couldn't wait to share this one with you...
I have wanted to do something more traditional for awhile. Last week I picked up a 'Betty Dear' Jelly Roll last week on super sale. I love reproduction fabrics and this collection by Darlene Zimmerman doesn't feel as feminine or youthful as a lot of fabrics do these days (I think it's the navy and the graphic patterns mixed in with the florals). I've decided to take on the Jitterbug quilt pattern from Layer Cake, Jelly Roll & Charm Pack Quilts by Pam & Nicky Lintott. If you haven's picked up this book, you should consider it. It contains some amazing inspiration and beautiful, simple patterns for pre-cut fabrics. For the solid I'll be using Kona Cotton Solids in 'Bone' to match the background of the Betty Dear patterns.
I am dying to start it, but I really should wait. Now that I have the fabrics in hand, I don't know if I'll be able to control myself. Keep an eye on me via Instagram and see if I'm able to resist this weekend.
