I love to dabble in new things.  I'm constantly picking up new mediums and skills, and I have a huge collection of craft supplies to prove it.  When I decided to try hand quilting, I found endless videos and books on the subject but I got overwhelmed quickly. 

I ended up stumbling across Craftsy while on my search, specifically Hand Quilting: Heirloom Design & Technique.  I used the Craftsy app and my Ipad to watch the course from my bed in the evenings.  The app was great.  It lets you take notes, quickly play back techniques and bookmark spots in the videos that you want to refer back to later.  The directions and demonstrations were clear and easy to follow.  And the class is now mine to keep and review any time I like.  You can also ask the instructor questions, share your finished projects or chat with your fellow classmates.

Today, I get to share a class that has been on my wishlist with one of you!  Designing Modern Quilts is a class that covers some basic techniques, but also guides you through the process of creating a contemporary quilt that is uniquely yours.  The class is highly rated with glowing reviews from Craftsy users.  It's next up on my wishlist and this week you can win it!
