TWENTY SEVEN / Happy Birthday to Me!

Today is my birthday!  Time just seems to move faster and faster with each passing year.  I've had ups and downs this year, but I'm trying to focus on the positives today and focus on the good things in my life since my last birthday.

On to my annual list of things I am thankful for this past year...

• We are having the best garden year ever, despite losing a lot of plants to the horridly cold winter we had.  Our tomatoes are healthy and huge, for the first time.  Our new bean trellis is amazing.  I'm really pleased with our design so far.  I did a sunflower mix this year, so it looks we will have blooms all summer long.
• I'm so glad we renovated the bathroom, even though it was sudden and unexpectedly needed last fall.  It was worth every penny and is so much easier to keep clean.
• So far saying goodbye to shampoo and conditioner seems to be paying off.  I THINK I notice my scalp starting to normalize and my hair is looking better.  I plan on getting it trimmed soon.  I also ordered some raw honey to start the two week Crunchy Betty Honey Challenge for my skin.
• We had a fun photoshoot in our home with my super talented friend and former schoolmate, Ashleigh Saylor.  The photo above is the first preview and I'm so pleased!  It's a perfect way to celebrate our upcoming 5th wedding anniversary and 11th anniversary as a couple.  
• I've really stretched my skills this year and have learned so many new things.  I really strive to continue learning new things and this was one of my better years.
• Finnick is a full member of the family.  We celebrated his first "Finniversary" in the spring and he has really become a happy, healthy, comfortable family dog in that time.  
• It's been a good year for blogging.  Lost & Fawned is still going strong.  But Ever So Splendid is growing by leaps and bounds every day.  Thank you so much to all my new followers and friends.  I have lots of fun things in stock for the next year here on Ever So Splendid.
