An Inspired Palette / Fimmvörðuháls Volcanic Fissure

I always look to unconventional sources to inspire palettes for my quilts and other crafting projects. Iceland has been on my bucket list for awhile.  If I could hop on an airplane tomorrow and find myself somewhere else, it would be on the black sand beaches of Iceland.

This quilt palette is inspired by this photo of the Fimmvörðuháls Volcanic Fissure.  I love the idea of a high contrast black and white scheme with accents of smokey grays, neon corals and an organic monochromatic texture.
